For coaches
Take your practice into the life of a community.
Roaming Coaches connects seasoned coaches with communities seeking a Coach in Residence for four weeks or longer. This is not about collecting destinations or delivering a single workshop. It is about becoming part of a place long enough to listen, contribute, build trust, and do meaningful work.
A different kind of presence
A strong Coach in Residence knows how to be useful without becoming performative. The role requires excellent coaching, sound judgment, cultural sensitivity, clear boundaries, discretion, adaptability, and genuine comfort participating in community life.
We welcome experienced executive coaches, founder and entrepreneur coaches, leadership coaches, career and transition coaches, retirement and business-exit coaches, wellness and resilience coaches, relationship and communication coaches, purpose, identity, and life-design coaches, and other established coaches whose experience is relevant to community life. Formal coaching certification may strengthen an application but is not automatically required. We evaluate experience, references, ethical standards, coaching maturity, professional background, and the ability to work independently.
The process
How it works
- 01
Apply
Share your background, coaching approach, specialties, languages, preferred locations, availability, and the kinds of communities where you do your best work.
- 02
Complete the review process
Interview, references, credential verification, and background, safeguarding, insurance, and compliance review as required.
- 03
Consider a residency
We share the location, dates, community, expectations, accommodations, compensation model, and other material terms. You decide whether to be considered.
- 04
Agree on the placement
The community and coach meet before deciding. No residency moves forward until responsibilities, compensation, duration, schedule, housing, travel, confidentiality, and cancellation terms are agreed.
How coaches are compensated
There is no single compensation model because residencies vary considerably. A coach's package may include a fixed residency fee, suitable accommodations, travel reimbursement or allowance, compensation for workshops or community programs, revenue from participant-paid private sessions, meals, local transportation, workspace, and community access, or a combination.
Compensation and expectations are disclosed before a coach accepts a placement. Roaming Coaches may receive a placement, referral, or program-management fee, and any such fee is clearly disclosed to the relevant parties. Coaches are not charged merely for the possibility of being selected. Inclusion in the network does not guarantee placements, compensation, or a particular volume of opportunities.
